As reported earlier, Pakistan hackers carried out a massive Cyber attack on Indian websites, taking down more than 7000 domains. Now a group of Indian hackers have replied in kind, taking down Pakistan government’s network, allegedly locked its data using a software called ‘Ransomware’.

Indian Cyber Experts say that a hacker by the name of Vuppala Dhani, has infected Pakistan government’s networks with the malicious programme, taking control of hundreds of computers.

The Cyber attacks from the Pakistan side came almost a week after the surgical strikes carried out by Indian army along LoC.

The experts told that the a Pakistan hacker group called ‘Pakistan Haxors Crew’ had claimed to have hacked over 700 Indian websites and that Indian hackers have struck back to avenge this.

“In order to free their locked data, techies from Pakistan offered to pay Indian hackers in Bitcoins but the “patriotic” Indian hackers refused to surrender the decryption key needed to unlock the data,” said a black hat hacker to Deccan Chronicle.

Reportedly, there have been many cases where Pakistani hackers have targeted data networks of commercial establishments, demanding ransom for releasing them.
