A Chennai-based technology logger Varun Krishnan’s Facebook account was apparently blocked, after he sent an image of a cat in suit to his friends.
He said that he was chatting with some friends over Facebook Messenger and sent the image to one of them.In can only be called as a peculier incident, the moment he the image, his account was immditely loged out. When he tried logging back in, he was hit with a ‘Session Time Out’ notification
Krishnan found that he had been logged out of all his devices and he was no longer able to access his account anywhere. He said that his profile was not even visible to his friends.
After he contacted Facebook regarding his issue, they reinstated his account and apologized for the incident.
‘Our team found this was a mistake and have restored your account. We are sorry for the trouble this caused you,’ Facebook Security Communications told Varun Krishnan.
