Sepoy Ganeshan from Madras regiment was one among the 10 Indian soldiers who died in a catastrophic avalanche that hit their out in Siachen earlier this month.

In a photograph taken during the funeral ceremony of the deceased soldier, Tamil Nadu’s minister for co-operatives, Sellur Raju can be seen holding the poster of Amma along with a cheque of Rs 10 lakh.

It was learned that the poster was a means to make up for the absence of chief minister while handing over the cheque.

While the earlier criticisms were waved off by the TN government by calling it a mischief of ‘few individuals’, the fresh embarrassment has put TN government on the defensive.
