Police law exempts no goat in Chhattisgarh

A goat was picked up by police on the charges of trespassing a senior government official’s garden in Chhattisgarh on Monday. The animal along with its owner was however granted bail on Tuesday following the arrest.

According to reports, Chhattisgarh police registered case against the duo under charges that could put them behind the bars for a term of seven years if convicted.

The goat and its owner – Abdul Hasan from Korea district were detained on Monday after the district magistrate – Hemant Ratre’s gardener lodged a complaint with the local police about the misdeeds the former whose name remains unknown.

Police finds the goat to be a repeat offender (seriously?) who frequently sneaks into the magistrate’s residence.

“The judge’s bungalow has an iron gate and the goat used to jump over it and enter,” NDTV quoted Assistant Sub-inspector of police R P Srivastava.

In a chargesheet police has reportedly listed down criminal offences by the suspect. Which included trespassing, grazing in bureaucrats garden and eating vegetables (what else would a goat possibly do?).

”She had grazed flowers and vegetables from the garden. They brought me to the police station today and told me to take the goat,” Hasan was quoted speaking to ANI.

Anyway, creative netizens have not forgotten to troll the bizarre incident online.
