Asaram Bapu, with all his poetic talk, is one smooth operator. The godman who has been admitted at Aiims for medical examination, made a comment on a nurse, calling her smooth as butter and referred to her cheeks to a juicy Kashmiri apples.
According to a report by Dainak Bhaskar, the nurse had brought Asaram bread and butter before his checkup. As she entered, he said “Why is there a need to bring butter with the bread when you are as soft as butter? You must be from Kashmir because your cheeks are as red as Kashmiri apples and tomatoes.”
Looks like the godman has a knack for making embarrassing statements.
Asaram’s comments the Delhi gangrape incident is even worse than his latest poetry attempt. Commenting on the victim Jyoti singh, he said: “should have taken God’s name and could have held the hand of one of the men and said ‘I consider you as my brother’, and should have said to the other two ‘Brother I am helpless, you are my brother, my religious brother.”
Asaram was arrested by Jodhpur Police on 31 August, 2013, after being convicted of raping a teenage girl. While the godman is still serving his jail sentence, the Supreme Court on 29 August allowed him to be taken to Aiims Delhi from Jodhpur jail for medical examination.
The order came after a panel of three doctors from Aiims informed the court that the Jodhpur jail did not have the necessary equipment to evaluate Asaram’s medical condition and that he had to be taken to the institute for proper check-up.
