Watch how these amazing Chennai people form a human chain to save a drowning man

Tamil Nadu’s most relentless and terrible rains are giving no signs of slowing down. The rainstorm has stranded many, and movement to and from the city has seen a complete halt.

All places of work are closed and the Airport too has been shut down till the 6th of December, until further notice. The Adyar river is overflowing and most Chennai houses are brimming with water till the first floor. And what’s worse, the MET department has predicted more rains in the next 24 hours.

The rest of the country is sending supplies and praying for the people there. But what is most awe-striking is the courage, and presence of mind of people out there, experiencing the deluge.

Here is a video that shows you one among the many stories of help and love. This video where people, on seeing a man drown, form a long human chain to bring him to safety, restores our faith in humanity.

As Emerson brilliantly put it, “What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you.”

We couldn’t agree more!
