Who wore what on Day 1 of #Cannes2016
The 69th Cannes Film Festival 2016 kicked off on Thursday in France. Here is a low-down on who wore what on the opening day of one of the most respected film festivals.
Woody Allen’s Hollywood comedy Cafe Society opened the festival. Actresses Blake Lively and Kristen Stewart stepped out in style during the photocall event. While Blake wore a fire-engine red jumpsuit with a messy ponytail, K-Stew wore a Chanel skirt with a plain white tee to match her platinum blond hair.
Blake later returned for the film premiere in a semi-nude, sparkling, body-hugging Atelier Versace dress and happily showed off her growing baby bump.
Thai actress Araya A Hargate arrived at the opening ceremony in a Ralph and Russo Spring 2016 couture dress.
Naomi Watts walked down the red carpet in Giuseppe Zanotti’s strapless, lilac column dress with metallic embellishments.
Julianne Moore wore an all-black serpent-themed gothic dress with entwined cobras on the top.
Jury member and actress Kirsten Dunst took to the red carpet for the first time in a Gucci dress with large poppy embellishments.
Anna Kendrick chose to wear a Stella McCartney dress as she walked down the red carpet with co-star Justin Timberlake to promote their latest film Trolls.
Keeping in lieu with the poster of the festival, Jessica Chastain graced the red carpet in a yellow strapless gown.
Indian actress Mallika Sherawat too walked the red carpet once again, to promote her film Time Raiders, in a Georges Hobeika strapless gown and flashed a big smile at the photographers.
