According to the Punjab police, three terrorists from Pakistan and a local from Punjab are allegedly travelling with explosives and a suicide belt in a grey coloured Maruti Swift Dzire car with an intention to target Delhi, Mumbai or Goa.

According to the Times of India, sources said that the central intelligence agencies had earlier advised these states to step up security based on an alert about four heavily armed terrorists who had entered India through Kashmir. This information was apparently gathered during an interrogation of the terror suspects in Delhi.

According to reports, the car’s licence number is JK-01 AB-2654. Police officers across the states have been asked to ensure high security checks at important public and military buildings, markets, malls, train stations and educational institutions.

“Input received from Special Cell Delhi police that a grey coloured Swift Dzire carrying 3 Pakistan militants and a local with arms, ammunition and possibly suicide belt is likely to cross Banihal Tunnel later tonight today,” ANI quoted the Punjab DGP, Law & Order.

“Their target could be Delhi, Goa and Mumbai. Security alert has been issued,” he added.
