A cancer survivor Jasminka Velkovksa is planning to sue a hospital, after the surgeons wrongly connected her colon to her vagina, which ended up in farting from the front. The surgical mishap happened when the woman was undergoing treatment for colon cancer at the hospital in the Macedonian capital Skopje three years ago.

The hospital had agreed to pay Velkovska £25,700 in compensation for the blunder they had created, but later refused to pay the entire total, forcing her to go on national television to talk about her condition.

The hospital operated on Velkovska to remove a carcinoma from her colon.

During the time she was recovering from the surgery, the doctors asked her if she was passing gas, but Velkovksa said yes, but it was coming out of the wrong end. The doctors told her that it would soon pass and she would be okay. However, to her horror, the condition only got worse.

An X-ray scan was taken to find what was wrong. Shockingly, it was found that the colon and her vagina were tied together, while the cancerous cells were still right there.

Velkovksa had to go through surgery again, but she opted to go to another hospital.

Although the hospital initially agreed to pay £25,700 as compensation, the actual amount paid was short by £8,600. Hospital Manager Sasho Stojcev claimed that the hospital cannot pay for the damages without a court order, as the insurance company did not agree to cover the full amount.

Tiered by their excuses, Velkovksa and her family are now planning to sue the hospital.
