Abhinav Bindra and Sushma Swaraj strike a deal on Twitter for Olympic gold

Indian minister of external affairs Sushma Swaraj is known to be quite active on Twitter addressing matters promptly. This time, however, she may have helped boost ace Indian shooter Abhinav Bindra’s morale ahead of the Rio Olympics with her promptness!

Abhinav Bindra and company who were on their way to Rio to prepare for the Olympics beginning on 5 August were stranded in Cologne, Germany, after his coach’s passport was stolen.

The Olympic gold medalist immediately sought Sushma Swaraj’s help in the matter.

The very prompt Sushma Swaraj replied to Abhinav’s tweet and even assigned the Indian High Commissioner to Germany the duty to assist them.
