Based on the charges of cheating the film producer Aroma Mani, a cheating case was filed against Malayalam film star Fahad Fasil at a first-class magistrate court in Thiruvananthapuram.
The court, according to sources, has ordered the police to file an FIR against the actor based on Mani’s complaint.
Fahad had allegedly received Rs 4 lakhs (and an additional cheque for Rs 10 lakhs) as advance from the producer for a role in the film ‘Iyer in Pakistan’.
Though preparations for the photo shoot of the film had already begun, the actor expressed to the crew about his wish to not act in the film.
Mani directly approached the court after the police refused to file a case against the actor.
