After slamming Yo Yo Honey Singh, Rene Sharanya Verma now has a poetic message about periods for Indian girls
‘Social change’ seems to be the favourite theme of Indian advertisers at the moment. After India’s first lesbian ad and Star Sports’s emotional ad about hockey, the new Sofy pads ad is the latest to take on a bold theme and talk about the social stigmas surrounding periods.
Rene Sharanya Verma, whose famous anti-Honey Singh rap went viral, has now joined Sofy’s new campaign that seeks to break the taboos around menstrual cycles and encourage women to stop feeling apologetic about this natural process.
The video titled ‘SOFY Poetry Slam’ has already drawn a series of encouraging reactions. Here are a few.
