Warning: spoiler alerts ahead. But when it’s a Superstar film, who really cares about the climax, right? Because audiences pretty much know how it’s going to all end. So here’s the latest on Rajinikanth’s upcoming film, Kabali.
A sneak peek tells us it’s a gangsta film. Rajini is a gangster who quits a life of crime to run an orphanage and be a do-gooder. But the baddies won’t let him be and he makes a comeback, as it were, into the world of gangsters.
There are two main villains, both international dons. One of them is Kishore and his character is based in Malaysia.
There’s also a female gangster. That’s Dhanshika, sporting a whole new look, as a gang leader based in Thailand.

Radhika Apte, as has been reported, plays Rajini’s wife. They are cast as a middle-aged couple and there’s a romantic number they feature in that’s been filmed in Goa.
There’s lots of action in the film with the scene shifting from Malaysia to Thailand and Goa.
Apparently, Rajini doesn’t have that many ‘punch’ dialogues in the film. Awww.
Kabali, directed by Ranjith, who has previously made Attakatthi and Madras, is set for an April release. The audio launch will take place later this month.
