Tanmay Bhat’s controversial video involving Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar has become national news, receiving backlash from all directions. Vinod Kambli went as far as saying that Tanmay should be arrested for his insensitive remarks. Even renowned lyricist Javed Akhtar took a jab at Tanmay comparing his mind to that of a cockroach’s.
It doesn’t stop there. Tanmay has reportedly been receiving death threats and an FIR too was filed against him. Meanwhile, Amul (known for its topical cartoon-based marketing) milked the controversy for some publicity with a pun-filled cartoon of Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar.
