Bengaluru police continue to raid more dance bars

The Bengaluru police continue to rid the city of illegal activties as dance bars were raided earlier this week. 30 women were rescued.

Based on a tip-off, the police raided Narthaki Bar on Residency Road and Brigade Blues on Brigade Road on Monday. According to a report in Deccan Chronicle 18 people including managers, cashiers and workers were arrested from the two bars. Rs 34,000 and Rs 14,900 in cash was also seized from Narthaki and Brigade Blues respectively.

The owners of the two bars Chavaregowda and Chikkegowda are currently at large. The rescued women were shifted to a remand home.

The police had raided two other such bars a couple of days prior to the raid including Times Bar and Restaurant on Residency Road, Shiva Palace Deluxe Lodge at N T Pet on Mysore Road.
