In a bizarre incident, yellow coloured rain poured down in isolated parts of Idukki in Kerala even as other parts of the state reeled under the heat.

However, it speculated that the phenomenon must be some form of acid rain.

It is learned that leaves wilted and developed yellow coloured spots following the downpour. According to local media reports, foul smell was also reported immediately after the shower.

The state agricultural department collected samples from affected areas. Though ‘extensive’ crop loss has been reported, people are said to be safe.

The meteorology department has predicted that the intense heat wave will continue to sweep Kerala for.
