2.7 lakh Indian cheating spouses are in the danger of being exposed as adult dating service providers Ashley Madison servers were breached into by organized hackers known as The Team Impact.

Canada based cheating website Ashley Madison allows users to have sex outside marriage, it caters to people who are looking for discrete affairs. Recently a group of hackers who call themselves ‘Team Impact’ broke into their security and are threatening to release the profiles, secret sexual fantasies, emails and credit card information of more than 2.7 lakh Indians who signed up with Ashley Madison.

Their motive is simple, they wanted to teach Ashley Madison a lesson for charging its users an exorbitant amount of $20 to delete his/her profile. However, the hackers claim that they have found out that Ashley Madison retains some user information even after the money is paid for account deletion.

The hackers released the information of a user who deleted his/her profile after the breach and are threatening to release more information on public forums and social media if the site does not shut down.

As for Indian subscribers, 45% are women and 55% are men, apart from these profiles under the embarrassment of being exposed, the hackers also claim to have information of more than 4 million profiles of users from other countries.

Now, this really puts subscribers in an awkward situation, the hackers threaten to release the information either way. So what’s the choice here? To delete or not to delete!
