Check out the ‘Ecocapsule’: This solar-powered portable house is the most eco-friendly way to live
Earlier this month, Slovakia’s Nice Architects launched a one-of-a-kind product called the Ecocapsule, a self-sufficient, portable home which can combine the benefits of a tent and a recreational vehicle.
Through its space utilization the ecocapsule can house two adults, merging an environment-friendly lifestyle with the luxuries of a comfortable hotel room.
Powered by a wind turbine and a series of solar cells, the moveable house is equipped with a built-in kitchen with running water, flushing toilet, hot shower and lots of storage space for your books, sports equipment and other supplies.
Its dual power system and a high-capacity battery allows you to store enough power to sustain during times of prolonged absence of wind or sunshine. Its manufacturers claim that the energy system can support a comfortable stay up to a year without recharge or re-supply.
But that’s not all. The spherical shape of the capsule has another function. It allows you to collect rain water which can then be utilized through the in-built water filters.
The ecocapsule is ideal for those who love camping, or like to take extended breaks in the proximity of nature or those who are simply trying to adapt environment-friendly ways in their daily life.
So all you hermits and minimalists out there, go get it!
