The news about a 12-old-Kanpur boy who died on his father’s shoulder after hospital authorities denied admission was one of the incidents that made headlines.

This time, a similar incident has surfaced from Seoni in Madhya Pradesh.

Bhimrao from Ulat in Seoni was forced to carry his mother’s dead body on his motorbike after an ambulance driver refused to deliver his service.

Reportedly Bhimrao’s mother had died in a local health center on Tuesday. Though the ambulance arrived 10 minutes after booking in 108, the driver refused to ferry the body.

While the ambulance arrived at the spot within 10 minutes, the driver refused to carry the dead body.

Seoni district collector S Dhanaraju said that the case is under investigation. Apparently, it was not in the ambulance service protocol to carry dead bodies.

Dhanaraju has however sought an explanation from the coordinator of ambulance service in the district.
