While recently, when the Coldplay video shot in India received a lot of flak for showing India as a poor nation, Priyanka had said in a statement that people often asked her if India was all about snake-charmers and poor people.

The actress made a shocking revelation in an interview with The Guardian. She spoke about the time when her song – In My City – was played at a 2013 NFL match, and people started asking questions as to who was the Arab terrorist.

While the actress laughed it off at that time citing the questions as primitive thinking, she admitted to being skeptical about playing the role of a suspected terrorist-cum-FBI agent in the popular prime time American sitcom Quantico. The role of the lead character of Quantico – Alex Parrish – was re-written after Priyanka Chopra was finalized for it, to include her Caucasian background.

Well, the actress has achieved a lot of fame and acclaim for her role as Alex Parrish. She even went on to win the award for the Best New Actress for her role in Quantico at the People’s Choice Award.

With Priyanka steadily making her place in the Western industry, looks like such racist remarks are not going to get to her!
