IIM-Ahmedabad hikes postgraduate programme fees by Rs 1 lakh

The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad—India’s premier business school—already features among the most expensive institutes in the country. The institute announced a fee hike of Rs 1 lakh for its flagship two-year postgraduate programme, effective from the 2016-18 batch.

The exorbitant course fees of Rs 18.50 lakhs per student, which includes tuition fees, academic support like books and other study material, accommodation, health care, medical insurance and alumni association membership, will now be revised to Rs 19.50 lakhs.

The institution’s board justified the hike as a response to the inflation trends. With this, the institute has also offered financial aid and scholarship schemes to more number of students.
