Cato Berntsen Larsen is someone who you would call a true friend. The 20-year-old from Drammen, Southern Norway jumped into a toilet tank to retrieve the phone his friend had accidentally dropped into it. To his ill-fate, Larsen got stuck and had to be rescued by firemen.

Larson reportedly dived feet first into the toilet tank and got stuck for a good hour, with all the filth raising all the way to his thighs.

In an interview with VG News, Larson said “It was disgusting as hell. The worst thing I have ever experienced. Animals were down there too. I will never enter a toilet again. Now my body hurts.”

Here’s what makes it worse, the toilet was not connected to the sewage. Unlike regular toilets which flushes the excreta into the sewage, this one was connected to a tank, which reportedly only gets cleaned once a year. Yup, Larson was standing in crap that was a year old!

The firemen had to break open the toilet to free the man. Unfortunately, he never did manage to find the phone, but he did become an overnight sensation, with friends teasing him on Facebook.

After being rescued, Larson was taken to the hospital  for bites on his body and some injuries on his upper arms.
