‘M. S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’, the biopic on current ODI and T20 captain of India, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is all set to release on 30 September. On Friday (Sep 23), Sushant Singh Rajput, who plays the cricketer and MS Dhoni met South Indian superstar Rajinikanth at his residence in Chennai, while promoting the film.
Dhoni went on to live broadcast his conversation with the star on his Facebook page.
Rajinikanth, who did not know much about the film was surprised to learn that the film is just a few days away from its release. Rajinikanth asked Dhoni he was to play himself in the biopic, for which Dhoni pointed that it was Sushant. The Kabali star quickly apologized for not being aware of it.
Rajini was impressed that Sushant had learnt the nuances of Dhoni’s cricketing style and was eager to know if the movie was going to be dubbed in Tamil.
Dhoni who was out promoting the upcoming film in Chennai said “The city is what it is because of the people. Chennai is my second home and I have played a lot of cricket. My Test debut was here and the biryani here is also special. People often talk about the biryani one gets in Kolkata or Hyderabad but the one here too is nice. The south Indian cuisine, the filter coffee and the leather goods one gets here are of high quality.”
