Parents of a terminally ill baby boy almost cremated him thinking that he had died. He had, however, survived at the very last moment.

The infant, whose chances of recuperation were believed to be minimal, was later discharged from a government hospital in Vadodara.

Bhagyashri Gordale and her husband Nagojirao’s son had developed a breathing problem and was admitted to Sir Sayajirao General Hospital where he was put on life support.

After three days, the parents were told by the hospital authorities that his chances of survival were nil and that he would pass away once the ventilator is taken away.

Assuming that further treatment was futile, the parents took him to a crematorium where Nagojirao was surprised to notice that the boy was still alive. They rushed the boy to the hospital where the doctors put him back on a ventilator.

Miraculously, the boy responded to further treatment and was taken out of life support after two weeks. He was discharged on Tuesday.
