Police nab two men in South Delhi who alegedly stole over 900 iPhones

Delhi Police arrest two men from Mahipalpur area in south Delhi for allegedly robbed a truck carrying Rs 2.25 crore worth of i-Phone 5s devices.

The culprits identified as Mehtab Alam, 24, and Arman, 22 stole over 900 iPhones according to the report by indianexpress. The incident took place on September 13, when the truck was carrying the phones was on its way from Okhla to Dwarka.

“The duo, with their accomplices, held the truck driver captive before robbing the phones near Rajokri flyover,” said DCP (south) Ishwar Singh.

Singh said that men then dumped the driver near Dwarka Link Road. The police nabbed Mehtab Alam in Mahipalpur, while Arman was arrested from Rangpuri area in south Delhi. They recovered over 900 handsets along with the getaway car used for the robbery.

Further Investigations revealed that two of the accomplices, Bhola and Pradeep were former drivers of the truck and had quit the job couple of weeks before.
