Project Soli by Google: Turn up the volume by moving your fingers

Google’s revolutionary new chip is so advanced in gesture control that you could adjust your wrist watch screw by making a screwdriver rotation gesture. It uses Radar technology to track the moments of the human hand and convert them into responsive electronic actions on devices.

Imagine if you could control something as tiny as the volume control on your earphones or push the buttons on your microwave’s touch screen without actually having to touch it. With Radar sensors this is a reality today, the scope of gesture control has just gotten much wider with Project Soli.

Is this the next revolution in Internet of Things (IoT) or just another technology that will go outdated before it is validated? Only time will tell.
