A shocking incident unfurled during Chaturthi celebrations, at the Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesh Pandal in Mumbai, recently. A girl who was visiting the venue for Darshan was ruthlessly assaulted by policewomen. The video of the same went viral, provoking angry reactions from the public, against the violence displayed by the Mumbai Police.
The cause of the attack has not been ascertained, but Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis has promised that the guilty won’t be spared.
There is also news doing the rounds that the girl tried to gatecrash from the VIP entry to the venue of celebrations and when wasn’t allowed, verbally abused the policewomen. To this they reacted by slapping her continuously until escorted by another man to safety.
Whatever the reason, violence definitely doesn’t seem like a great solution, as you can see in the video below
