Review Central: Drishyam – A thriller that grips some, not others
Drishyam is one of the most remade films of the season and now it’s Bollywood’s turn. This unconventional thriller stars Ajay Devgn in the role played by Mohanlal in the original and Kamal Haasan in the Tamil version. Nishikant Kamat’s Hindi remake has been hailed as superb edge-of-the-seat flick by some critics, while others have found it wanting on some counts. Ajay Devgn’s return to a performance-oriented role has won most people over.

Our take: If you haven’t seen the Malayalam original or the Tamil remake, this is a must-watch. It’s a riveting ‘small’ film to be sure.
