Review Central: Fitoor: Great expectations that go unrealised
Abhishek Kapoor’s interpretation of the Dickensian favourite, Great Expectations, has clearly left critics underwhelmed. The story-telling has been described as ‘lifeless’, while the performances by the lead pair, Aditya Roy Kapur and Katrina Kaif, have been dismissed as ‘blank’. Tabu’s overwrought Begum Hazrat, based on the Mrs Havisham character, has also come in for some panning.
Here’s what Bollywood has to say after watching the film:

Our take: Sure the locale is beautiful Kashmir and the cinematography looks impressive. But this isn’t really a film that’s going to up the romance quotient for you this Valentine’s Day.
