Horror films, frequently melded with comedy, have become a hit formula in Kollywood in recent times. Trisha is the latest leading actress to be captivated by the genre.
Nayanthara in Maya, Hansika Motwani in Aranmanai and now Trisha in Aranmanai 2. The top actresses of the Tamil film industry are certainly lining up to feature in horror films. For Trisha, who stars as the evil force or the ghost in Sundar C’s Aranmanai 2, it is apparently a long-cherished dream come true.
The actress has said that she’d always wanted to feature in a horror film but had to wait till Aranmanai 2 came along. Also, Trisha wanted to play the character behind the spooky goings-on rather than the spooked.

“You see, no one has seen a ghost, so the role was open for interpretation,” she said in an interview. “I put a lot into my role in Aranmanai 2 and it’s paid off. I was impressed with what I saw on screen,” she said.
The buzz is that Trisha has signed up for another horror film as well. So, it’s a case of a sizzling southern star turning scary!
