A Ukrainian villager claims to have killed a bloodsucking beast which is believed to be the legendary Chupacabra.

The creature was reportedly killed in the village of Rukshin in western Ukraine’s Chernivtsi region.

Chupacabra has been a stuff of myth—a creature that leaves livestock completely drained of blood. It is believed to have been first spotted in Puerto Rico and several sightings have been reported in various parts of Americas.

Residents of the village claim that beast had been killing their chickens and rabbits for months sucking the blood from their bodies.

Farmer Ivan found this creature one night in his barn stalking his livestock and killed it with a pitchfork.

Reportedly, veterinarians have been studying the body of the dead animal but have been unable to identify it.

“This animal resembles an African fox, but its teeth, neck, ears and paws are too long. We can’t say what it is,” said Valeriy Dopiryak, the head of the Regional State Laboratory of Veterinary Medicine.

Ukrainian wildlife expert Mykhailo Luschak said, “This animal does not fit the description of any known species.”

“It has got double upper cutting teeth. Other teeth features that are not common for any known animal,” he added.

Another local villager Viktor  claims there was not one but two of these vampire-beasts. He said that the other one was different from the first one and resembled a kangaroo. It had a longer body and shorter front paws. Apparently, the strange animal managed to escape.
