We’d predicted earlier in the year that Keerthy Suresh is going to be the hot new face of Kollywood, with big projects in the pipeline. Now it’s getting even better for the actress from Kerala as she readies to play Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s heroine in his next film.
The film, to be directed by Bharathan, is Vijay’s 60th film and it was earlier rumoured that it would be a two-heroine project. Now the makers have clarified that there’ll be only one female lead and that’s going to be Keerthy Suresh. Sharing screen space with the superstars of the South is a career boost for any heroine and so, Keerthy is one the way to greater heights.

She began this year starring opposite Sivakarthikeyan in Rajnimurugan and will also feature in three other Tamil films, Nurse Akka, Pambu Sattai and Rail.
She’s on the up and up in Telugu, too, having bagged the female lead in the remake of Thani Oruvan and will be paired with Ram Charan Teja in the film.
