In what seems to be a confluence of Malayalam cinema talent, Mohanlal (who of course, doesn’t need any further introduction), actor Prithviraj (son of yest-year talent powerhouse Sukumaran) and Murali Gopy (son of the late Sri Bharath Gopy) are coming together for a project that has been titled ‘Lucifer’. All three actors took to their Facebook pages to make the announcement. The film, which will be the directorial debut of Prithviraj is going to be penned by Murali Gopy, and will have Mohanlal in the lead. The film will be produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad cinemas
Gopy mentions in his Facebook post that it has always been his dream to write for Lalettan (as Mohanlal is fondly known), and Prithviraj turning director with the project makes it even more special. Prithviraj too, on several occasions, has made it amply clear how big a Mohanlal fan he is. It will certainly be interesting to see how a film made by two fan boys for their idol turns out to be!
This is slated to be a big budget project and given the names involved, will certainly set audience expectations at a new high. The project is believed to be the brainchild of the multi-faceted Murali Gopy and the late director Rajesh Pillai who passed away recently. The announcement has fans from all three camps excited, and further details are eagerly awaited.
