This man who was expecting the birth of his first child outside the labor ward was taken in for a hemorrhoid surgery which was subsequently announced ‘successful’ by the hospital authorities!
The ridiculous mishap happened to a Chinese man at hospital in Shenyang on August 8th. According to shanghaiist.com the 29-year-old man named Wang was called into the hemorrhoid surgery room which was near the labor ward.

“While I was waiting outside, a nurse waved me into the surgery room. I thought that maybe my wife needed something, so I went in,” Wang said, according to People’s Daily.
“Once I was inside the surgery room, the nurse told me to take off my pants and lie down on the bed. At the time, I was a little doubtful, but I thought that this would make me just like my wife giving birth. So I took my pants off.”
Following the surgery doctors informed his mother-in-law that it was successful! Wang claimed that he was unaware of the surgery until it was over.
“Before that nobody told me that this a hemorrhoids operation. I didn’t sign any agreement, they never even asked me for my name,” Wang complained.
Later when Wang demanded an explanation from the hospital authorities, he was offered 5,000 yuan as compensation. However, the hospital reportedly confirmed that he did have a hemorrhoids!
Any way, looks like it was all good for Wang. He would have walked out of the hospital sans hemorrhoids, 5000 yuan and his newborn.
