Rahul Gandhi who does not fail to stay away from limelight, has once again raised public ire with his alleged silence on the incident in which a Tanzanian girl was reportedly stripped and paraded in public by a group of people in Bengaluru last week.

The scion of Gandhi family has been criticised by political outfits and netizens for his ‘selective outrage’ campaign.

A pro RSS publication criticised him of passiveness in responding to such atrocities in a Congress led Karnataka.

“This shameful act has brought disdain to Bharat as a nation. Rahul Gandhi who does not miss a chance to blame RSS for all the wrong things should wake up and get rid of this policy of selective outrage. Otherwise, it would be difficult for the grand old party led by a dynasty to hold on to whatever little political space it is occupying,” read an editorial in Organiser, a pro RSS publication.

In a bid to put Congress in Karnataka on the defensive, the RSS mouthpiece even claimed that radical ideas and terrorist tendencies are on the rise in northern Karnataka .

The article titled ‘Shame of Selective Outrage’ accused the state government of being ‘insensitive’ such incidents. It recalled an instance from last year when an Australian national was harassed by mob for sporting a tattoo.

However, the editorial has seemed to missed out the newspaper reports which had claimed the involvement of a BJP worker in provoking mob fury against the Australian.

Despite all consolidated efforts by the publication to nail the congress vice president for his alleged silence over the incident in Begaluru, Rahul had in fact expressed his shock on the issue through Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh. According to Singh, Rahul has sought a report from the state government.

“Rahul Gandhi asks Karnataka Govt to explain and send report immediately,” claimed Singh in a tweet.

The Tanzanian girl was pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Business Management at an educational institution in the city. She was reportedly stripped and paraded in Bengaluru last week in a case of mistaken identity.
