Nokia phone saves a man’s life by shielding him from a bullet
Nokia phones may have lost the race in cell phones in recent time, due to heavy competition, but there was a time it ruled the market. Their handset had the reputation of being indestructible, giving rise to many jokes on the internet.
Like that one where Thor was using a Nokia phone instead of his hammer or the one about how when a Nokia falls down, the floor cracks, but the device remains unharmed.
While these were jokes, it might not be far from the truth, because there is now news that a Nokia device stopped a bullet saving a man’s life.
Peter Skillman, Microsoft’s General Manager of Core UX for Windows Desktop, Tablet and Phone, recently tweeted about how a Nokia phone saved the life of a man in Afghanistan by shielding him from a bullet
“A Nokia phone I worked on a few years ago saved the life of a man in Afghanistan last week. The embedded bullet,” Peter Skillman tweeted, along with the image of a bullet lodged into a Nokia device.
