Wonder Woman is bisexual, confirms writer

Wonder Woman is officially bisexual. Social media today got a big reason to celebrate after Wonder Woman’s writer Greg Rucka confirmed that she is queer and has obviously been in love with other women. “I don’t know how much clearer I can make it,” he confirmed on a comic news site.

Greg worked on Wonder Woman for DC Comics throughout the 2000s, and returned to DC this year for the upcoming Rebirth series commemorating her 75th year in print. Warrior princess Wonder Woman was born as Diana in Themyscira, an island of Amazonian women. Fans have for the longest time speculated that Wonder Woman is gay, and Greg confirmed with the comic news site Comicosity that the character had been in relationships with other women. Fans on social media have been celebrating since then.

A standalone movie on the female superhero, starring Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and directed by Patty Jenkins, will release worldwide in June 2017.
